*A NEW POOL IS CURRENTLY BEING CONSTRUCTED AND BUILT! Look forward to the new pool and find updates on the City of Mt. Carmel Facebook page.

The Mount Carmel City Pool was first opened in 1937. It was known for its Zero-Entry feature, meaning you could walk directly in the pool without the use of a ladder or steps. The pool featured a fountain center, one small slide, and a kiddie pool section. Also, in the 11ft area there was a large slide and a spring diving board. They offered drinks and snacks in the upstairs building as well as picnic tables on the balcony that overlook the pool.

A new aquatic center is being contructed and built. The old pool and structures have been demolished and the new center will be built in the same location. The center will include a new building, 3 and 1 meter diving boards, various activies such as climbing wall, zipline, basketball goals. An area designated for children will include a splash pad, toddler area, and small water toys to keep children playing all day. For adults there will be lounging chairs, umbrellas, and shade structures. The county has quite the swim team so racing lanes with diving blocks will be provide for practices and meets.
