Hope Pregnancy opened its doors on October 7, 2001, to welcome women facing unplanned pregnancies. The agency has been blessed to offer all services for free since opening. In 2006, Hope Pregnancy completed a remodeling project and launched its “Earn While You Learn” program, allowing clients to earn “baby bucks” by attending educational classes on a variety of topics.
Hope Pregnancy offers classes in cooking, cleaning, meal planning, budgeting, time management, job searching, CPR/First Aid, pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, breastfeeding, and fatherhood. The facility also provides abstinence education, adoption information, and post-abortion Bible studies.
The clients at Hope Pregnancy can use the “baby bucks” they have earned to purchase items they need for their families and babies. Items available for purchase are diapers, formula, baby clothes, baby food, car seats, cribs, strollers, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish soap, personal hygiene items, etc. The clients also receive “baby bucks” for scheduled doctor’s appointments, church, school, jobs, WIC, WADI appointments, etc.
In March 2010 Hope Pregnancy expanded its office by renting the space next door and in 2014 the center became a medical pregnancy center offering limited obstetric ultrasounds and free, confidential pregnancy tests. The staff at Hope Pregnancy feels privileged to see young mothers being introduced to their unborn baby and hearing their precious heartbeat for the first time. Over the years, we had outgrown the office space we rented and in June of 2024 after much prayer we were blessed to move into our new facility at 201 E 9th Street.
Hope Pregnancy issued this comment to the community, “We look forward to seeing the will of God work in the lives of everyone that comes through our doors daily. We want to thank you on behalf of the moms who have chosen life for their babies and for your prayers and support to make this possible.” Hope Pregnancy & Resource Center is always accepting monetary donations and donations of needed items to help keep this amazing program afloat.
