Painter Job Description

Responsibilities for the painter include-

Loads and unloads equipment and supplies from work vehicle

Spreads drop clothes to protect equipment and surrounding areas

Cleans paint applicators, equipment and work sites after paint jobs are completed

Moves furnishings, equipment and other obstacles to complete paint jobs, as needed

Performs journey level painting of interior and exterior surfaces for protection and decoration by patching, texturing, priming, sanding and/or caulking

Responsible for completing material issuance requests and purchase requests to procure any material needed to support the position’s work load

Prepares surfaces to be painted

Fills holes in surfaces such as nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or another filler

Removes fixtures and other items from walls

Utilizes hand tools such as hydrometer, profile and mil gauge, disk sander, wire brush, grinders, scaling gun, needle nose, crescent wrench, and pliers in the performance of the job

Qualifications for painter

Ability to work on own or as a team

Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Repetitive Motions

Ability to lift weights of 50 lbs

One (1) plus years of paint and liner related experience for another paint company. Reference required.

Will train the right individual

Pay starts at $21.00 per hour.
