Civil Site Design Engineer
Neikirk Engineering has an immediate opening for a Civil Site Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work from our corporate office located in Mount Carmel, Illinois.

Neikirk Engineering primarily serves regional and national chain clients such as convenience stores, quick serve restaurants, auto parts stores, grocery stores, retail, etc. Neikirk is a well-established company with 45 years in the industry. We currently have active projects in 12 states and the outlook for next year is very exciting.
Who are we looking for?
This opportunity is ideal for a civil engineer with AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience and a familiarity with commercial site design or construction at some level.
Successful candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- The ability to become licensed a license PE
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience with StormCAD or HEC-RAS is a plus
- Highest level of integrity and workplace ethics
- Desire for a long-term employment relationship
- Willingness to occasionally travel

Types of work performed:
- Site design services including: geometric design, drainage and stormwater design, pavement and roadway design
- Project management functions with growing responsibility over time and demonstrated proficiency
- Perform work on time and within budget
- Other project duties may include:
- Land use and site selection evaluation
- Site grading and earthwork analysis
- Feasibility and due diligence studies
- Utility connection research
- Ordinance investigation and strategy
- Permit application and processing
- Performs all other duties as assigned
